ATTENTION: Some material in this video clip may be inappropriate for children under 13 or adults who abominate car accident scenes.
On November 13th, a skater boy got hit by a bus running the red light and died immediately in the west side of Tiananmen Square. One month later, the boy’s father and the bus driver shook hands with each other and went back home.
What? That’s it? Hmmmmmmm… yes.
If you are a foreigner or a beginner skateboarder, who have seen lots of kids skating along the streets, you might not know that roller skating or skateboarding on public streets is illegal in China, as the policeman said in the video. And don’t forget that most American towns also forbid this dangerous behavior.
So, if you are lucky enough to have a park nearby, you should take advantage of that. It may offer a different experience than street skating, but it is a both a challenge and a lot safer.
