Drama in a Car Dealership

After a big spat in an auto showroom, and after his sassy girlfriend nearly runs over a couple of innocent bystanders, the poor guy just gives in: “Okay, I’m buying it! I’m buying it!”, he cries. “Stop the car!.” And he ponies up for the red Buick she wants, right then and there.
This video, which was uploaded yesterday, has been watched more than 570,000 times already, and the views are still rocketing.
Surprisingly, we found that the Shanghai Morning Post has already done a story (in Chinese, IE browser only alas!) about this video. According to the article, the powerful “human-flesh search engine” — both a blessing and a plague on the Chinese Internet — has already sniffed out the location: a Buick 4S showroom in Shanghai. Netizens doubted the authenticity of the video, suspecting instead that it was an online ad produced by the automaker or its agency, because there wouldn’t be keys to a car inside a 4S showroom.
Chinese Internet users are always so smart! Before publishing this video on Youku Buzz, we checked in with our sales team. (I yelled out, “We’ve learned a lot from the arm-swinging man! Fool me once, shame on you — fool me twice, shame on me!”). And yes, in fact it turns out that video is a viral video for Buick produced by some Youku users in Shanghai.
Is January 2009 a month of viral videos? Come on! Keep ‘em coming!

yeah, that video is definitely fake. I mean, would they really just leave the keys in the ignition while the car sits in the showroom? Doesn’t make much sense otherwise.
