As we previously announced in our press release, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Interactive Online Concert was broadcast on live on Youku on Sunday night.

As you can see in the screenshot, users could choose their favorite angle from 4 different live streams in one window, and vote for their favorite performer at the same time. The Taiwanese band Sodagreen, who won the most online votes, gave an encore performance at the show’s end.

Here are some statistics from Youku’s operation team:

6,482,007 - unique visitors who watched the live concert;
50,627,568 - individual user interactions, including votes, giving virtual flowers and blowing virtual kisses;
10,000,417 - online votes the band Sodagreen received;

We said there would be “more than one million expected viewers” in the press release, and it turned out to be totally beyond our expectations. And Thank God, everything went pretty smoothly.
